Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026. Your privacy is our highest priority.
1. Overview
MacUtility is designed to be a privacy-first utility application for macOS. We believe you should be in complete control of your data. The application operates entirely locally on your machine, and we do not require you to sign up for an account to use the free tier.
2. Local Storage
All custom configurations, target coordinate presets, and macro records are stored locally on your Mac's internal storage. This data never leaves your machine.
3. Analytics & Telemetry
To help improve the application, optimize compatibility with different macOS versions, and track crash rates, MacUtility collects basic, fully anonymized usage telemetry.
- We use **TelemetryDeck**, a privacy-first analytics provider.
- No personal identifiers, IP addresses, location data, or custom keystrokes are ever sent.
- All telemetry identifiers are randomly generated and hashed locally to prevent tracking.
- You can easily opt-out of anonymous telemetry sharing at any time via the Settings panel inside the app.
4. System Permissions
To perform its core functions (simulating clicks and scrolls), MacUtility requires macOS Accessibility Permissions.
- These permissions are only used to send mouse events and hotkey captures.
- We do not record, transmit, or log any background keystrokes or screen captures.
5. Third-Party Websites
Our documentation website may contain links to external sites (such as GitHub or LinkedIn). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites.
6. Contact Information
